JJ, I just read an Interpol report that says they're in the process of investingating a large fake Rolex ring based out of New Zealand. It says a major dealer has been moving large quantities of fake Rolex watches and the "AD"'s name starts with the letter M.

I just figured it out.
The reason JJ is taking so many pictures of the various Rolexes he has "flipped"
He is working for the counterfeiters. They need to know what the Rolex community thinks of his work before they release them to the unsuspecting.
Just my theory. Anyone with me on this one??

If I were working for the counterfeiters (heaven forbid!!), I'd be a multi-millionaire by now and not still working in a museum!!

It's all a cover JJ, That museum is probably your personal collection of antiques.
Some may call it Laundering Money.
Annonymous donations to the museum.

What about GMT Font?

This topic allowed to move to other models?

My F series 16710 is from Mansours of Melbourne, 2005.

The 'S' is round in all wordings, except 'SWISS MADE' where the s is flatter in fact all of the words Swiss Made are different font to the superlative chrono part and the top heading under the crown.

Only Rolex may have the answer to these variations.
It may be another subtle way that Rolex are using to tie the model with a particular series or the export country that Geneva send then to. Just a guess.

With so many replicators on their heels so to speak, they have to be very low key about subtle changes. Maybe they don't like forum members finding these subtle variations?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Steve, alot of the variations on the dials were simply due to different dial maker companies that Rolex used in the past. It was just in the last two years that they bought one company to do all their dials. That said, no telling how many dials they have in reserve before they start to all resemble eachother.

Shhh.
I can't email JJ. So I think JJ, you will be able to decipher this message..
- I have completed printing the " blue "flatssss" digereedoo pieces, they are ready to be " donated" to the museum. Once you have assembled the " digereedoosss", please bypass China this time & ship direclty to the " marketing department". Once received, the "trenchcoats" will do there thing, and final payment will be deposited (donated) as instructed.

Alan, just because you found a flat "S" Blue Sub has nothing to do with whether JJ is as crazy as one might suspect. We don't suspect - we know he is as crazy as a loon.

But a true, BLUE, Rolex fan he is, so not all is lost!
