It is Japanese.

They have entire magazines devoted to Rolex here. Spotting fakes, the different models over the years, weights, upgrades, store recommendations.

It is crazy, in such a good way!

In the 40 mm category (i.e. not counting the Explorer 1), the YM appears to be the slimmest at just 12 mm.
