While I had no dog in the fight, that Dallas Green Bay game was a barn burner!

NFL Playoff Thread

Could be a really interesting SB with either NFC team in the Super Bowl. I am rooting for Atlanta at this point since they have not won anything in a long time and have not won a SB.

If you are a Packers fan, either AFC opponent represents a rematch of a previous Super Bowl (that the Packers won), but I would think most would like to see a Brady-Rodgers match-up. But I am certainly not looking past Atlanta. That's going to be like that Arizona -GB game in 2009, final score in the 50s.

And if you are GB, the defense is pretty thin with injuries. This match up at this time really favors Atlanta. Hope I am wrong.

Packers have top fan-base, according to Forbes:

At this point, there's not much that could make me go against GB and Rodgers. He is amazing. The betting side of me is going with GB and NE in Houston and I'll go GB winning a nail-biter that is somehow related to another hail-Mary.

I live in Houston and a Texans fan, but clearly understand that our team got further than we had any right to given our ongoing quarterback situation. I'm also a big Patriots fan and pulling for them now, but if I had to bet the farm on the game with Pittsburgh, I'm betting on Pittsburgh. Houston's physical defense really beat up the Patriots, and if Will Fuller catches that pass for Houston in the endzone (ironically the best pass Osweiler threw in that game) and Houston doesn't give up three interceptions, Houston wins. Pittsburgh is equally physical and has huge offensive weapons that Houston doesn't. If Pittsburgh doesn't turn the ball over, I think they'll beat New England.

Watching Aaron Rogers over the last 5-6 games is starting to make me think you'd be crazy to bet against Green Bay however.

This has turned into an interesting season after all!

The GB secondary is too banged up to do well against the ATL offense. ATL has been consistently potent throughout the year and I don't see them letting up now.

Rogers did well against the Cowboys D, until they showed up. Then it was a game. I don't see Dan Quinn giving Rogers a full half before they give him a game the way Dallas did.

I think ATL wins it.

NFL Playoff Thread

^^^ GB secondary is in trouble. Hard to bet against Rodgers as he is playing at a historical level, but with Atlanta's ability to pass and run, I am leaning to the Falcons in this one. It should be a high scoring game.
Pats have the #1 scoring defense in the NFL and a good offense. Even with all the injuries on offense, still gotta go with Brady in this game.
As weird as it may seem with the pedigree the Pats, Steelers and Packers have, I think Atlanta has a great chance to win it all. If they can handle the pressure. All the other teams have been through this before.
Looking forward to some great games this weekend.

Pats GB SuperBowl is my prediction, Steelers will be a tough out but unless they can get to Brady consistently I don't think they can slow him/them down. They lose an O linemen in the 1st half or Brady has on off day then the Steelers have a shot, but I like their chances of pulling it out against Pittsburg.

GB eeks out a win against Matty-Ice, yes GB's D is beat up and the secondary is sub-par but AR is unstoppable. And unless BB has some schemes to corral him I see the Pat's losing to GB in a squeaker. But keep in mind I suck at predictions and am NEVER correct, so Steelers and Falcon's fans take solace in my ineptitude!

I watched the Steelers KC game a couple times. I don't think The Steelers have the offense to keep pace with the Pats. Even if Brady is pressured, I think the Pats will out score the Steelers.

Pats - Falcons Superbowl.

After further review, while my gut tells me to go for GB, I would like nothing more than to watch Goodell be forced to hand the Lombardi trophy to Kraft and the MVP trophy to Brady. To see how uncomfortable he is after that whole deflategate snafu and suspending Brady would be priceless.

X Freaking 3 That's what I hope...but I really think any of the four teams could win this thing. There's a lot of parity and all the teams are good. Belichick loves tight ends and the Pats Offense runs through that position, more or less. If they had a healthy Gronkowski, I'd definitively say Pats. No Gronk, it's up in the air.

Oakland Raiders have filed for relocation to Las Vegas, NFL.com reports. Vote by owners in March or earlier.

What does the media money look like in LV? The population is 600K? That market is tiny compared to existing small markets (half of San Diego), much less the Bay Area.
