Paris recommendations please
Chaps, got Ryder cup tickets and gonna be staying in Paris 2 nights. Guys I'm going with don't get let out often and are gonna want to cut loose.
Please can you let me know the best area for lively/trendy nightlife, want to book a hotel nearby? Also let me know what you think the best/quickest way to the course(below map) from centre, either B or C RER? They are putting on shuttle buses from end stations. Thanks |

C RER is the go, fast and efficient, depending on how you want to live the Ritz is amazing, wife and I only got as far Hemingways bar. Somewhere on the Champs Elysees or 7th Arr, where the funky Parisians live would also be good. Plenty of nice restaurants and cafe. You really need to go there for a week or more, we did 22 days last year, long term we want to to spend a couple of months each year.

Was not enamoured with my experiences at the Ritz Paris, and since you want to cut loose id suggest W Hotel. It's fun , especially for those young and young at heart. JMHO
BTW the Ritz Barcelona is great for relaxed fun... to a point. Your cutting loose comment, to me, means you desire something more youthful. W hotels always satisfy :)

Thanks guys, don't think we'll be staying at the Ritz. Area is more important than the hotel.
Brits abroad like to have a drink, so being near the lively bars so its not far to stagger home is important. Any Parisians that can chime in. Is Cru in the house? |

I'd look for something by the train station you plan to use. Ryder Cup is a long day. I'd rather take a cab or the metro to find bars at night - if anyone is still up for it after the event.
