These are way more exciting than some of the 50th anniversary releases. Kudos to AP

Not much to say other than wow. Most of these pieces punch above my $$ ceiling but still very much appreciate them and their contribution to the portfolio

Maybe I'm a Debbie downer but despite me loving the code releases - I wish they would have done something else "for the masses".

Nice to be an ultra premium brand, but really who here is going to receive a limited 250 edition run?

The release yesterday was approachable, whereas today (and I'm not talking craftsmanship or design, which is great), those will be seen on the wrists of the usual suspects only... JayZ, LeBron, marky mark, Ed Sheeran, cristiano Ronaldo, drake and some Kardashian lover...

I agree. I like seeing these type of complications in the portfolio much better than the full colorful Diamond set hublot look-alike RO releases they did. I will surely visit my SA to get a closer look and enjoy seeing these in the flesh.

Well, "Renaud & Papi" was their own brand in a sense, and Renaud did start his own company a decade after leaving APRP. It's also impressive to see how many other independents cut their teeth at APRP.

I guess they felt that the steel CODEs where enough for now I expect more ROOs (and CODEs) for the masses in the next few months.

I'm sitting here waiting for a thinner, smaller code - 38 - 39mm in steel...

I'm glad they finally made concept case right, but this is actually first time concept doesn't have a concept dial...

Love the RD2 titanium...

The new concept does remind me of RM...and yes, I do like this! The interchangeable strap adds flexibility and the overall layout is more appealing than prior versions.. not to mention an automatic rattrapante??

I had hoped for some lume and Titanium and the numbers didn't bother me on the dial but yesterday's release of stick indices, lume, ss - well I'm very happy. My only negative is I'd hope for some more water resistance but I'll easily overlook that! Can't wait!
Are you more partial to the green/blue three-handers or chronos?
I wish those also came with ceramic bodies.

You would have thought they’d release at least a teaser example of a smaller Code this time around.

Oh man, can they make a version of the ultra complication but without the tourbillon and minute repeater? Just the perpetual calendar + chrono ?

Sky’s the limit. They can slim down the caliber into different movements for less complicated watches.

The QP is practically idiotproof and I can’t wait for new QPs

As nice as the aventurine dial is, an openworked CODE QP would be next level. Possibilities are endless.

What do you guys think of the stamped guilloche for the code? More and more industrialized processes it seems. A lot of the top brands are also stamping their watches

AP and Patek use very little hand finishing overall compared to independents in the same price range.

FOJ stamps their guilloche, AP does for the ROO I believe (maybe wrong) and the ROO finishing + RO finishing is not that good if you look at it with a loupe.

Even Breguet does guilloche the proper way and has better hand finishing on similarly priced models.

With that said, I am a sucker for the RO case shape and aesthetic, so I will cough up lol

Are we expecting anything new next week? Or do we have to wait for watches and wonders?

I’m surprised we haven’t seen the smaller codes yet, and I was told a new Arnold ROO was coming as well….

Just me speculating based on APs recent product direction - create a the foundation for a few strong base calibers and then add / strip into various models

Agreed. I will gladly pick one up, probably one of the partial ceramic ones maybe the 3 handed once the initial deliveries have offloaded to greys for pennies on the dollar.

I’m looking at requesting the blue or green dial time and date all steel Code. Can’t decide between the two. Kind of cool that the blue has the gray chapter ring for some contrast, but the green looks damn good too.

Not so sure that will be happening… a friend of mine asked for the green 3 hander with his SA and was told not to get his hopes up.
Whether that’s all BS and they’re just hyping it who knows… there does seem to be a lot of interest in them however

Actually looking at the new releases again I think I’d rather have a Star Wheel.
