There is play. Often with wiggle it’s not spot on at 12. Or it is then moves a smidge

There is some comments on long hours hand, has anyone check they actually use the normal
45mm hands to put in this version? Hope it is a design thing but doesn’t seem have any reference in the description....

Gents - It’s the 21st and Hodinkee officially has until the end of December before we are allowed to be disappointed. With that said, can I get a quick show of hands from my fellow “in progress” purchasers? I enjoy seeing photos from those that have received their early Christmas but I’d like to have a better idea of how many folks are waiting along with me. Yes, misery loves company.

In no way is this a real problem. That whole pandemic thing and everything not so great that has come about as a result, those are real problems. Happy and thankful to be healthy, warm, and safe. Hope each of you can say the same for you and yours. We are fortunate if $15k watches pose a problem at any level.

With that said, who among us is still waiting?

Still waiting. Hodinkee told me orders are being processed in the order they were received. That’s hard to believe for me as I was checked out within 30 seconds of it going live. I clicked straight through only glancing at the picture for a split second lol

Still waiting and in no hurry, too many watches incoming recently and I don't mind a little anticipation. Plus I need a few sailcloth straps to get in first. If there were any others hoping for the olive green sailcloth Blancpain has confirmed they don't make the olive in that width. n:

w\What colored sail cloth have you gotten! Probably will make a trip down to blancpain later this week to see what I can get.

Is it the 20mm width to 18mm sized strap?

This for me as well; sent an email and got the same response.

Does anyone here prefer a certain number on the back of the watch? Like I imagine #1 went to Hodinkee. But #250? I’m kind of hoping for it.

I’m a greedy pig. I’d prefer 88 because it would resell like a mofo

In all seriousness it’s always fun if you get a number you like but I don’t expect that to happen. Wouldn’t be surprised if they cherry pick numbers for friends of the brand etc. my birth year would be cool.

I don’t really mind waiting either. Buying other stuff and busy with the holiday. I really only reached out to hodinkee shop to make sure my order wasn’t an abnormality.

I'm waiting on delivery of an olive strap from watchbandit and a black/grey stitch strap from artem. Both sailcloth style and in 20/18 size. Don't know anything about them but I thought I'd give them a shot since it's going to be a long wait on the BP sailcloth.

I think they are completely randomized numbers. My number was in the 100 something range, I checked out within seconds of the release and had my watch in under 24 hours.

Thanks for all the responses, gentlemen. As expected, I see I’m in good, and plentiful company.

Side note: I was quick on the draw with my order too but unfortunately doesn’t seem to have made (much) of a difference this go round.

Thanks again!
