Your wrist counts as a slot, so no need to jettison it. 👍👍

I think is a cool watch for what it is. Don’t see myself wearing it a lot but to me represents a watch that growing up I wasn’t able to get and now I own one like symbol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

El Toro it’s an awesome watch , it’s a perpetual calendar , gmt , 100m water resistance, comfy rubber , rose gold. Not too many watches bring that to the table. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks , yeah was a crazy run. As far as the 5712/1a I can’t do it , it’s a beautiful watch but I just tried Mike’s new 5712/1a and felt that thinness on my wrist again , felt like I have a Piaget altiplano bro . I guess if you don’t care about the thinness then it’s a perfect Nautilus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A ridiculous dilemma that I need WIS advice
This is a fascinating post that I fell into. As a fellow degenerate, I have this internal debate all of the time. I have far too many watches (yes, this is a ridiculous statement) and none get the proper wrist time but I love the variety. I also think I am too close to the watches and some have reasons for not selling. However, would like to fund a 5712/1A and am interested to free up some funds.
My collection (in alphabetical order if the pics don't post correct, background to know what is on or off the table to pare down) : -AP Royal Oak 26331 Blue face (a grail, timeless piece. Would rather keep this) -Baume & Mercier Capeland S (won't raise enough $ to sell, nice beater watch) -Bell & Ross (gift from wife and daughter, can't sell - plus won't raise enough funds) -Breitling Colt automatic (gift from Wife, won't consider selling and it won't drive enough $ to fund the next purchase) -Cartier Santos Chrono (honeymoon gift, won't sell) -Cartier Chronoscaph 21 (matching with wife, won't sell) -Chopard Mille Miglia Speed Black edition (LOVE THE TIRE BAND! but... open to selling) -IWC Portofino (open to selling, I happen to like this watch a lot. Additionally, my only leather band) -Omega Constellation (engagement gift, first nice watch, will never sell) -Panerai 728 (brand new, not in pic but love the novelty of a Panerai, I am sure I will lose $ if I sell) -Rolex Daytona 116520 White (original grail - timeless piece) -Rolex 116513 blue face (this WAS a grail. I love the face. But don't dig the two tone. not that understated even with the Rubber B band But i think I need to get over it being a grail when I could free up +/- 10 k to help with the 5712) -Rolex BLNR (still love this watch, nice wrist time, can't believe how in demand it still is) -Rolex SD 4k (was a partial gift from a friend, can't sell - plus possible decent investment that I won't actually lose money on unlike EVERY OTHER PIECE ON HERE!) I originally wanted to have representation from all of the (attainable to me) major watch brands when I began building my collection 18 years ago. I figured the Panerai and Patek would complete the journey. However, the overall collection just doesn't get enough wrist time. So after this regurgitation of excess, i think the answer is to unload the blue face daytona along with the Chopard and raise close to half of the funds for the 5712, freeing up some space and reducing the watch total. Until my ceramic daytona and blue face SS sky dweller come in.... Am i missing anything? Theoretically I should unload the Baume & Mercier too. Am I wrong to not be interested to sell an item to "only" raise +/-1,000 dollars if I sell it Sorry for rambling text. Watches make my head spin. TIA! |

thats forced perspective ... case study I saw a similar pic the other day that made it look like a whale shark underwater was about 10 times as big as the fishing boat above it. Its not photoshopped its forced perspective. The shark is inches away from the camera, the boat isnt. |

I will take another picture, the 5164 is probably 4 inched closer to the lens because of the strap. It’s amazing, I full recommend it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fantastic thread, as a minimalism lover, I always try to apply that philosophy to every aspect of my life, watches included. I’ve never been interested in owning lots of watches, I would hate the decision making process and I know I wont be able to enjoy them as much. For now I wear one, the amazing Rolex Submariner, but hopefully down the line I can break my own rule, with a piece worth breaking it. I have a hard time picking a Favorite between the Aquanaut and the Nautilus, 2 is my perfect number.
Less will always be more. But for now, very happy with the Submariner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is this time again to update my collection.
Dropping the idea of a dressy complicated due to current trends. Now it’s all about sport watches. So for now I am down to 3 , these 3 feel good. Original though was to add later the new Pepsi as my number 4th, but today I feel I don’t need it . Let’s see what I say in a few months when the call comes in Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
