Here's the latest strap from David [dmh]. Gray leather from authentic German flight jackets w/ kangaroo lining.
Looks great on vintage pieces.

I have been dipped into German culture for the past week or two since I've started working with colleague in Germany.

New addition to the Nylon Nation - late 60's 1680 Submariner. I love the looks and simplicity of nylon and it saves me from having to resize the 9315 bracelet...

Has anyone given their thoughts on which NATO they like the best? I have several so I thought I would opine on them a bit...

The RLT NATOs out of England are probably the toughest of mine. I quite like them, although they are a bit thinner than most they seem to wear the best. I also like the thin, low-profile hardware.

The Timefactors NATO strap is very comfortable and has lots of holes so a good fit is easy to accomplish. The brushed hardware is nice looking too. The downside for me is the keeper strap is oversized (for larger watches it is a plus but I'm not a fan of large watches) and the green strap is a bit too lime colored.

The Maratac NATO I don't care for much. The seams are sewn (instead of heat-welded as the MOD specifies) and they don't seem as sturdy as my other straps. My Bond had a tiny tear in it within a day.

I have two leather ones, a brown and a blue which I thought I'd wear on my blue Tudor sub. I tried it on and took it back off within an hour, I thought it felt too thick and ungainly.

My favorite is an 18mm olive colored one that came with my little CWC watch. It is perfect - tough, comfortable and not too thick or thin. I wish I knew who made it, I'd love to get a 20mm one.

RLT NATO

Timefactors NATO

Maratac (on a CWC RN diver I have since flipped)

Group shot with my favorite NATO in the middle on the CWC

I like some of those nylon Pic's.
I'll have to look into expanding my collection with some Nato straps.

I like woven nylon watch straps(they're on other watches)...I prefer my Expls. on the oyster band...but if I didn't have the oyster band, they'd be on nylon!!!! I prefer the "Zulu" style.......and since my attire is primarily black, grey & white, I like black & "Bond" stripe straps.
