Yesterday I enjoyed an A.Fuente Chateau Fuente natural.

The build quality is sensational. Lovely draw, even burn, fantastic smoke. Can't rate it highly enough!

I puffed on almost 600,000 of these, but gave them up 18 years ago this month.

I'm afraid if I started up with cigars I'd be inhaling them at a rate of maybe 4-5 per day.

I enjoyed an Aston VSG Wizard last night.

Absolutely amazing smoke. I'm fairly new to cigars but this oen was very different to the others I've had so far.

As soon as I lit the first thing that came into my head was "dark chocolate". Lots of cigar reviews mention cocoa and chocolate flavours but to me they've always been fairly indistinct. The VSG delivers these dark cocoa, chocolate, almost bitter orange flavours like nothing I've tried before.

For the malt drinkers out there this was the cigar equivalent of an Ardbeg, smoky (obviously), pitch tar, coal, coffee that's been left on the hot plate for far too long.

Wonderful!

Oliva Serie 'O' Maduro - Robusto size I think.

Hard to evaluate this one as I was drinking a glass of the Islay malt Ardbeg 10 yr which totally dominated my palate. It's certainly not as strong as the Ashton VSG Wizard but did have some of the depth but without the complexity. Overall quite enjoyable.

Yesterday I enjoyed a Cain Maduro.

It was a nice smoke but not sensational. Nice draw, excellent construction but lacking in flavour. Bearing in mind cigars are extremely expensive where I live, almost all cigars are the same price at around $11 a stick, these just weren't in the same league as most of the others.
