Just received my first Datejust. My father-on-law gave me his first and only Rolex to me for my 40th birthday. Yes my father-in-law. He bought in 1978. I'm only 3 years older than this beauty. Looking to replace the stretched out jubilee with either another jubilee or two tone oyster. Not sure which.

Keep the bracelet and send it off to Michael Young for repair! he will return it to brand new shape, and that way you can keep the watch all original!

This is the second bracelet for this watch. Someone custom made it for him with 18K gold. Only the clasp is original.

I haven't seen a cream dial like this before. Its a 16234 from 1990. Is this how the cream dials generally patina?
