For me it's apples and pears. The red sub is absolutely beautiful and I love wearing her. But I'm also on the hunt for a nice Daytona to add to the ever growing collection. But for me i find the black dials difficult to read and IMO can end up looking a lot like a number of other chrono watches out there. So only the white dial Daytona's for me and it would have to be the white porcelain dial like Ken's or the new WG arabic panda dial. Both have that wow factor I'm always looking for.

I was actually in Harrods in London last week checking out a panda WG Daytona and happened to be wearing the red sub. The reaction from the sales girl was quite amazing and she called the other girl over to check it out and they said they had never seen one before which sounded a bit of a sales line - you know flattering the customer........ But having also just been at the London GTG the other week, similarly, hardly anyone who attended had seen a red in the flesh and they were all absolutely Rolex crazy.....

So bang for your buck, I would say the red gets the glory......

Actually, apart from the shops on Burlington Arcade..

... thinking back.. I have to agree.. I have only seen a few Daytona (mainly newish WG and SS, both with in-house movements)

I think I have seen a handful (ie 2, maybe 3) of Zenith Daytonas.. and only 1 other Red Sub (yours - of course ). Although I have never seen an inverted 6 Daytona on anyone.

And yours will be the only other red I have seen in the flesh when we catch up for lunch

Next week if you're free.

Haven't gotten around to getting a 93150 just yet - will be on an Admiralty Grey NATO for the moment.

Sounds good And it will be the 9315 you want for your 1680 red if you're going original or 93150 which came with the later 16800 sub but still fits and is the more comfortable bracelet. I will bring both so you can check them out but IMO the 9315 is a bit tinny and somewhat nasty..... so would only track down if you're adding value from a future sale point of view.
