Congrats! A great watch for sure...

To share that anything can happen and just to share...:

Dealer #1 My wait was 6 months for Daytona SS White, My GMT Pepsi Was 10 days, My DJ41 was a week, Dealer #2: My Airking was about a day.
My most recent purchase this past Monday for a Hulk was a week.

I am very fortunate and my advise: be nice/yourself, be humble, show passion for watches & collecting, show you buy not for hype but because you are “understanding the
Models” and when they should join your collection, show no rush, buy some from your AD’s but only if you like the watches before the grails, send them clients if you can...make sure they know you are not a flipper, and it’s great to have style....

That’s how I have been fortunate.

Did your AD let you keep the bezel protector?
Mine refused to give, quoting Rolex policy is to take all stickers off and not give the bezel cover to the customer.

All my other previous rolex purchases comes with the bezel protector. Not sure if this is a new rule.
No she did not let me keep bezel cover or coffin... I was allowed to keep it once before but said they got in trouble for that one and now they all go back to Rolex... not sure if that is true or not???

Congratulations! I gave up on these. There are no more modern Rolex that I want except a DD and my local ADs won't bundle so no Daytona at retail for me. Even though I've purchased 9 watches from them...

True story, I was in my AD yesterday looking at a DD40 and a lady and her daughter were picking up a watch. I don't know what they were picking up. The daughter says to the mom, "I think dad would like this" pointing to a DJ41 black fluted jubilee. She asks for a discount, and the SA replies that they don't discount these, blah blah blah. Then she says, "today's your lucky day, I'll buy this right now if you sell me a white faced Daytona". The SA politely says that he appreciates the offer but there are so many people who are waiting for one. She then tells him, "it's your loss, you could sell two watches in one. I could call the dealer in Maui and he would accept this offer in a second".

It was funny and painful at the same time to hear her trying her best to work her magic.

DJ41 for a Ceramic Daytona? If only it were that simple, I'd pick up 10 DJs. Hahaha

I was tempted tell her that I’ll buy her a DJ and the plane ticket if she can get me that Daytona.

The audacity of that SA not to jump on that amazing offer ...
