When I mention the secondary market it is more towards the 116655 and the value that brings.

126655 is newly released so the pricing may not be there yet, but eventually it will present itself as a better deal.

They seem to be holding. There was a brief time when they went for just around 21-22K grey. Very brief. Now maybe 5% off max at grey is my guess.

Same here! I've been hoping since it was released the gray market would see a larger difference from msrp...nope.

I bought the wife the 37mm RG YM and she liked it a lot but when she saw the 40mm she said the 37 wore to small and so that little lesson cost me 6k for the Flip.

The 40mm is right in the sweet spot. If you can rock any other 36 -38 mm watch then the 37 would be just fine...

Out of interest, did your wife need the OF strap to be changed to a much smaller size?

Its an addiction, I have to admit. Regardless if price if there is something out there we like we definitely go for it, most of us watch lovers are like that.

This is my all time favorite watch. I’m in the process of selling my 116655 to get a 126655.

Would have to disagree with “PM is out of favour”. Steel is just more affordable.

Bought my wife the 116655 for anniversary 3 years ago and paid way below msrp. I can't believe how much the price has gone up on the secondary market. Pm is becoming all the rage.

If it's about the money then is it really about the watch?
You either like it or you don't, I didn't consider what else I could buy when I got mine, I just liked it and bought it.

If you're buying based on 'value' then it's not really about the watch is it.

He hasn’t logged in since end of Dec. Going by his thread history it looks like he did end up getting the 126655, but sold it in October.

My wife has the 116655, and it is an Amazing watch to look at...
Sometimes, well most of the time, I find myself staring into it's beauty...

I wore it for a few weeks, and loved every minute...

the 126655 takes it up a few notches, and I would strongly consider getting that one before there are none available...

Yes as others wrote. For these style ££ watches the typical purchaser perhaps isn't so concerned with resale, or internet cool factor etc or looking appropriately affluent. It's a rubber strapped Rolex watch (lots of people do not explore changing bracelets) that may be worn occasionally. If not it's in a drawer not thought about with the other fun trinkets.

This watch is actually quit cheap ! If more people find out how super gorgeous and warm this watch is outside artificial (AD) lights it could easily become hotter then any SS sports reference.
It’s also one of the toughest Rolex watches to catch on a photograph. On 95% of the material found online it looks like a shy depressed turd, but it’s so far from that.

Ym at msrp in general is expensive compared to other sports models. But Rolex was aiming for the higher end lifestyle market...e.g. yachting, country clubbing etc, and not the mainstream or watch fans.

That said it's a nice watch and the 37mm if you negotiate hard and get it for around 20k is not a bad value compared to other PMs.

I love it and the 42mm 226659; both are great beautiful watches and pricing is in line with what you get!!!

I’m considering this watch to buy to own forever.

I know it’s a lot of money but there’s nothing in the price range to compare it too.

When the first OF models rolled out, yes, you could make the argument that for a few dollars more (maybe 5k or so?) you could have a full gold bracelet...thereby enabling questions and discussions such as this. Today, as Rolex pricing has unfolded, an OF is nowhere near a full gold bracelet, so really, if you ask this question, you might as well ask it of the entire line; steel, TT, OF, and full PM.

As far as the pricing relative to Daytona's, well, to be honest, with its glide lock clasp, the YM is a better fitting, better wearing watch. No offense to my fellow Daytona owners (I own the 519, which is a fantastic watch), but if I could have only one OF watch in the collection it would definitely be the YM.

The 126655 is an incredible watch. I absolutely love mine and it was my first Doo into PM. This was also the first watch (116655) Rolex debuted the OF bracelet on.

The 126655 is totally worth the small increase on price. It includes the new movement, but most importantly GlideLock which is an enormous improvement for the wearability and comfort.

You either get it or you don't. I love my YM42, the OF is awesome and is what makes the watch unique. It works great with the glidelock clasp, the matte bezel pops and also it amplifies the WG sections. The price is on par for what it is. Beautiful thing in life is if you can't afford something or feel its overpriced you don't have to buy it. I also haven't sold any of my watches and wear them so could give af about resale. If thats your concern buy a ss daytona, hulk or pepsi and put up giant incoming posts all over the internet. Everyone complains Rolex doesn't change much over time then they do something completely unique to the lineup and everyone wants something that looks like the rest
