This is a support group. We support all your purchases--- unlike your wife which may think you're crazy.

And you're not even old enough to be having a mid life crisis! Thats when I had my "last buying blow out". But its an obsession of our interest that we always seem to "keep our eyes open" for a buying or trading opportunity.

You've actually hit a couple of points dead on davestan. In reflecting on myself,, I may not be going through a midlife crisis, but I am about to get married - maybe the reason why I bought all of these pieces was like a way to say goodbye to being single? If that makes any sense... lol

The other point is, it's really hard for me to turn down a good deal!! And IMO all the watches I've purchased have been just that - good deals!

I think if you're in the wrong forum if you want us to discourage you from buying more.

I say enjoy the addiction - unlike crack addicts, you'll end up with some very nice arm candy :)

Wow very unusual...as much as I like I know my limit. Perhaps you should try to busy yourself with some other things and avoid TRF for a while? Just my 2 cents...

What a wonderful story! Let's see an Explorer in that bunch! Would love to see pics, especially of the AK's. I think the AK is an amazing watch!
At this point, you might as well get one for every day of the week....month....year!!
Enjoy them in best of health.
Cheers
Carl

I can't edit this post? :-(

I ended up getting another TT instead of the SS.

I went through something similar before getting married. My old man called it "placeholders". My wife (GF/fiance at the time) didn't dictate what toys I bought while I was single so I accumulated an old Suzuki GS750 motorcycle, an old set of Macgregor irons, a beat up Honda Prelude, and ten" cheap" watches (Tag, Omega, Tissot, Oris, etc). Since getting married, I replaced my beater toys and upgraded to ten nicer watches -- as "replacements" so she hasn't objected and to this day still doesn't give me grief about "replacing" my existing toys (although I cannot talk about an eleventh watch without a "discussion"). However, she can't really complain since she's "upgraded" our home several times now and our current home has the same sq ft as all my previous homes combined. In retrospect, I should have collected a dinghy (to be replaced with a Penta/Volvo speedboat) to even things up.

Wow cool collection. I wish I could convince my wife I need to buy 4 watches! I got my first Rolex in January and I am hunting for my second. I have her convinced I need a SS sports watch since my first was a TT Datejust TOG. Enjoy the addiction!
