I never liked the idea of getting a watch and then putting it in the safe in its original packaging, in a hope that it is a good investment. The only situation when I could see myself doing it is when having more than one piece of the same exact watch. Pateks, even the most stunning, most expensive and most complicated ones are made to be worn.

The case is actually manufactured to fit the bracelet. While you could put it on a strap, it would look weird because you would see the "step" in the case between the lugs. It would be really cool on a strap though!
