Wait!!! We’re onto something here!!

I am also a recently retired ophthalmologist - just 6 months ago, even. But we’ll continue doing overseas charity work (when our Masters decide to open up travel again).

Can’t imagine having had a more rewarding career. From “blind” to “eagle eye” in 10 mins - SO much fun, sometimes!! (and of course such hell, at other times!!)

So, should we start an “Ophthalmologist TRF Sub-Group”??
Seriously.

I’m in! Should at the least have a thread so we can connect at an aao meeting etc. That would be motivation for me to actually go :)

Well, it won’t be about your golf game...

Honestly, most eye docs tend to be extraordinarily detail-oriented. (Big surprise!!)
And, unlike some other branches of medicine, we’re usually nice guys, too!
I think we might have a great sub-group!! We’ll see! (couldn’t resist the pun...).

New Orleans isn’t enough motivation?

To tell the truth, I haven’t been to AAO in years. Have been focused much more on ASCRS and Hawaiian Eye. But we are going to NOLa in November. You?

Send me a private message and we’ll see what we can do. Looking forward!

I'm a Media Commentator. I watch TV Current Affairs shows and yell abuse at the idiots that they get on there. My wife tells me to turn the TV off. I am banned from the National Newspaper (one of Dirty Rupert's rags) and I fear the TV is next. I listen to ABC Radio National and correct all the 'PC Nazis' on there. My wife doesn't care about this as she is at the Gym in the morning and doesn't have to listen to all the bad language.
She tells me I need to be like her and not give a rats about what is happening in the World. I think she is probably right.
