So let me get this straight: Guy thinks he knows Rolex policy gets answer he doesn't like from one AD, so he blasts them on the boards. Then others pile on and suggest a different AD, and then someone goes to the different AD, where they are told the first answer (from first AD) was indeed the correct answer. Is that what just happened here? Thanks!

Not entirely. Net result was same for the OP, but the answers were in fact quite different, one providing far more detail than the other.

1) The SA didn't know and didn't care whatsoever. They would rather tell you NO than have you hold it against them if they said YES and it wasn't going to happen.

2) He wanted you to leave because he was chuffed that you wasted his sales "up" on a question that doesn't pertain to sales, so the faster you leave, the faster he can get another shot at actually selling something.

That's the reality of it. Ego bruising I know, but the SA "behave" in these ways for a reason.
