The full oiler 235 was a good engine. Well, better than the splash oiler 235 (pre '54) that it replaced.

My first car was an Acura Integra coupe. I think it was a 1990 model. I LOVED that car and lusted after it before getting my license. My parents bought it used for me when I turned 16. The sad thing is I only had it for 8 months before it was STOLEN during the night while parked on the street in front of our house...

The Barracuda was my first car and the Alfa was my first 'fun' car.

Actually mine was black with white interior. I loved that Alfa, it was identical to the one that appeared in "The Graduate" (but minus Dustin Hoffman).

I had one of these. A '71 GTO. Mine was the same color, but without the convertible top. Bought it for like $600 in '78.
I put an Holley 850 double pumper carburetor on it, and the loud, deep bass roar it produced (not to mention the torque!) when all 4 of the barrels opened up was awsome!

You never forget your first car, that's for sure!! There are other firsts but I don't think the mods will allow that line of questioning!!!!

Mine was a 1999 Mitsubishi Pajero Fieldmaster 4x4. In North America it's known as the Montero. It was a workhorse yet very comfy and luxurious. I really miss that car.

I had an 82 Pontiac Grand Prix. This was the second car my father Bought new, at the time I didn't care I was a hormone enraged 16 YO punk (Not that all 16 year olds are hormone enraged punks, just me!!!)
I crashed it more than a few times, none were on the road, just fender benders in parking lots. Car was fun, kids at school thought it was cool because it was an "old School" car! Had many cars since! No pics of Old Betsy............just memories! :Sniffle: |

Thank you, Faith. When I had the GTO, someone gave me a 45 of that song as a gift.
And I love your cars too! Before I got the GTO, my friend had a '68 Barracuda Convertible that had been his father's and since I got my license 1 year before he did, his Mom let him use it and guess who got to drive it!!

I bagged groceries at a grocery store, and purchased a white 1985 Volvo 240. I was in a serious accident, but everyone lived. It was a tank with no gun, but I had some good times.
I remember driving to pick up my prom date listening to Pink Floyd. Good times! |

JJ had a few hot rides in his time
The first had no A/C and he wrecked her about 3 miles from the butcher shop. Blew a hoof going 22 mph. Didn't end so good. The second had cushion seats, and a nice paint job. Looks good with his Rado's.......... |

My first car was a 1980 Plymouth Horizon Tc-3. Learned more about cars from all the parts that went out on it than you could imagine. I was a poor college student and completely out on my own, so any parts I needed were found from salvage cars at a lot. Thankfully the owner took pity on me and never charged me much as long as I was willing to go out in the yard and find the parts for the service tech to disassemble and use. Replaced the clutch (learned on it-burned out the clutch doing so) bushings, starter, voltage regulator, struts... it was not an easy first car to have out on my own. But I loved it cause it was MINE. |
