Ok, the Bronzo - that was cool, but now they're just interchanging dials and cases.

While I like the ceramic models, I don't care for the word 'ceramic' on the dial whatsoever. Seems the same as putting the word 'wet' on a bottle of water. And enough with the faux patina already!

Just my twopence, hopefully noone gets offended. Taste shouldn't be argued, that is what makes us different - which is good.
Very much agree , sometimes i feel pitty for the brand, they need to make various modification of the same to feed the "collectors"hype

alex, thanks for the front/back pics.

i sense in the near future we may see a remake of 127 but with the P3000 movement.............. another limited edition in the making?

very nice to see the skeletonized bridges on the P2002/10 calibre on the PAM 395 and P2005/B on the PAM 396 although I won't be able to afford both. But if the skeleton bridges is well received then it may trickle down to the P3000 movements also. Exciting................

This may be asking alot, but how about a regular steel production piece in 44/45 mm with gold hands & markers. Some of these pieces are beautiful but none are for me.

great posts of the new models leeye and alex1974....thanks very much!

liking the 398 and 399. at the prices they're asking for, and assuming i actually had that kind of watch cash, i'd be tempted to go all-gold.

for me, though, the absolute star is the 448. sure, it's "just" a copy of the 249, but, so what? gorgeous....and with the p.3000 movement, what's not to like?

just tough to get excited, though, with only 500 examples. yesterday, i had meetings all day and night so i missed the announcement, so, i feel like that ship has already sailed. no way the boutiques haven't already received more than 500 enquiries.

anyway, at 47 mm, probably too big for me, anyway.

lastly, any chance the "ceramic" on the dial of the 441 won't make it into production? just do not "get" that design move. ceramic is a great look for that watch, but, ceramic in and of itself isn't anything revolutionary. it's just a material. what's next? "Polished Stainless Steel" on a 2013 model?

Thanks Lee and Alex for the pics, now I guess I'll have to wait for the Radiomir 388 45mm and in-house movement. At least give me more time to save.

I think all the radiomir watches look nice. And I really dislike the way they put ceramic on the dial.. Looks silly to me..

FYI....you can get the full 2012 catalogue on-line here: http://www.paneraicollection.com/eng#catalogue2012

(based on the catalogue, it looks like "ceramic" really will be put on the dials....)

and, FWIW, looks like OP now has an official FB page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Pan...11400842263073.

i don't know about that.....i mean, the new movements are still very new, so, they are being installed across the range, which is a legit and exciting thing. then you've got the new radiomir style meant to pay homage to the 1940s models. then you've got the expanded use of rose gold and ceramic (ignoring, of course, the very silly dial treatment).

okay, nothing "obvious" like the 382, but, a pretty solid effort by panerai, IMHO.

Panerai - the house of fake patina! ;-)

Seriously, there are some good releases there, but they are obviously focused being known for their large watches. Now that most have caught up with their 44mm they are moving to 47mm as the new standard (which I guess is their historically correct size?). But putting a pig or logo on a dial or not, limiting the production, is just kind of silly. OK, once in a while, but every year for a bunch of releases?

And CERAMIC on the dial? Please! Maybe they hired the Art Director from Rolex who was responsible for DSSD? ;-)

according to someone on p.com its confirmed that 448 449 398 399 are boutique only watches so my AD won't be getting any and the nearest boutique is a 90 minute flight away!

Before it sounds like i wine too much, I think the 448 Cali with in-house is the winner this year. A truly unique looking watch, now with a smoother in-house that better matches the price of the piece (historically Panerais never came with in-house though...)
