Great choice, the No-Date is beatiful but the date is very useful in day to day life and for me the Cyclops is a Rolex 'trademark'...

A great choice for a first Rolex! Congrats! While the watch head is smaller at 40mm compared to the Pams, it's quite likely you'll notice the quality of the Sub's Glidelock bracelet, and how differently it wears compared to leather straps.
