Very nice (watch and cars both).
Question - as a car enthusiast I've been doing some Porsche (911 991) research in anticipation of getting one at some point. What is the best exterior color? The conservative part of me says go silver, black, or dark blue. But then again, if you're going to get a Porsche why not a screaming loud color like yellow, guard's red, or the Miami blue? |

Guards red and yellow use to be the standard color choice for a speed machine but have diminished in popularity. White is another popular color. Black is a sexy color but hard to keep looking pristine. Certain colors look better on a coupe than on a cab. I think the miami blue is a great cab color as the black top brakes it up. Yellow is similar. Then you could go with a Targa that adds a similar roof break up to the color. Do you like your women in a tight black cocktail dress or hot pink bikini??

Yeah, I test drove a white 2016 C4S coupe and the white really looked good.
I gotta say the 991 seats are the most comfortable I've ever sat in (and I'm 6'4"). And that's after owning a Volvo which arguably has some of the most comfortable seats in the car business. |

Another thing caught my attention (at least in the 991.1 I drove, don't have experience with older) - the seat adjustment is "articulating" (and that's the term the salesman used), so that they exactly adjust in the direction you're pressing the adjustment lever. I can achieve much more comfort than in my (current) BMW 4 series coupe. Those optional 18-way are worth it as an option. |

Different market here in the UK for 911's. When I look at USA based Porsche forums, all you guys have many cool colours. I remember looking through a "show your 996TT" thread and I got to about page 17 before I saw a dark blue one. You got all sorts of colours and lots of them, here if you want a 996x they are all silver, black, dark blue and grey. So those are the safe colours, However, with "colours" so rare buyers will pay a premium for a good colour (I will happily extra for speed yellow for example).
Therefore I would say buy a fancy colour (if you can find one).. may not apply in the LHD market though. |

[QUOTE=OmegaJJH;8471818]Is that some Williams F1 Martini livery in your garage?
Same colours but it is the original Martini Racing Porsche. My wife hand painted all the Porsche art. This photo shows it a bit better. |

Now she’s ready to get cleaned up and tuned for the summer driving season. All I need now is a 1984 GMT II to go with it! Last edited by Amochosto; 12 April 2018 at 11:05 AM.. Reason: Managed to resize a picture to fit the forums guidelines |
