One good advice is:

How hard would it be to replace any of these watches in the future?

That can give you a good indication. Is it easy to get that VC again?

VC produces about 24k watches a year - their tag line is "One of not many." Rolex produces 24k watches in two weeks. They are on a different level.

I'd keep the Bluesy, particularly the 11 series with the sunburst dial. The VC is visually impressive, a "wow" watch, but I'd get more wear out of the LB.

Impossible to tell you what would suit you. Nice "problem" to have though.

I say do it...worst case scenario, if you don't like wearing it or doesn't end up scratching that "itch" you can sell it and buy another Daytona and a Bluesy and have $50k+ leftover.

It's a literal a no lose situation.

You buy and love it, great!
You buy it and hate it, great, sell it and get your two Rolexes back with extra money to fund your next watch.

I would trade for the VC purely considering what you are getting on the wrist. PM haute horology with changeable straps, vs two rolex. However...

You should try the VC on first. It will be heavy, is a slightly larger watch, and the bracelet is much chunkier than the rolex (there is a lot less taper at the clasp). Once in hand you can then decide if you want the fit, finish, beautiful movement etc. of a high end watch or the variety and ruggedness of the Rolex.

Also, not knowing your personal situation, you should also consider whether you would wear a full gold piece regularly and be comfortable. It's not like the Daytona and bluesy are under the radar pieces but a full gold watch will be next level, with all the pros and cons that come with it.

Its tough to say as there is alot to like about the VC.

I liken it to the Date Just (obviously in a different league) but the three handers without the "technical look" just never seem to last with me. By my taste, the Maltese cross theme is also maybe a bit overdone. Admittedly, I've also never been a movement nerd in terms of finishing and that is primarily what you're paying for here.

You can't argue with the finishing and historical significance of the brand though ... I just wouldn't do a two for one trade with two Rolex icons

Yes for sure!

Cmon, it’s VC ….. it should be an easy decision.

The bluesy would be easy to find again, the Daytona would be hard to come by again, but the VC will be impossible to ever find again.

This may be your one and only shot.

I also had a chance to purchase this piece at retail, but I passed on it. It's a lot of money for a time only watch. Yes I get that it's VC, but I think they're a better ways to spend that much money in the watch game.

I would. Theres something to be said about having a VC vs. Having the same old dime a dozen rolex watches. That VC is indeed perfection.

In a heart beat. That VC is absolutely stunning. Never cared much for either Rolex in the Refences shown.

Nope. Not the Daytona. If you want the VC, sell the bluesy, but that's it.

Just my two cents.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Trade the bluesy +cash and keep the Daytona

The Vacheron is stunning. I would get rid of the bluesy in a heart beat but would hang on to the Daytona and find a way to add the VC.

No, not one with a gold bracelet. But I'd get one with a leather bracelet. Think the all gold look will draw too much unwanted attention, and so would be too self conscious to wear it in public.

Never, no way, nope, not even......your watches are keepers! The VC is fabulous and if you really love it, explore other options to fund purchase.

+1 In a vacuum the VC looks gorgeous. I just don't think I'd wear it or enjoy it nearly as much as the two Rolexes you have.

I think I see a black Daytona in a winder to keep (the better of the two lol), so this is a no brainer to me. Go for it!

I wouldn’t make that trade. The DaytonaC and bluesy are beautiful references and I wouldn’t trade them for one

Funny enough a buddy just picked up a SS silver dial VC4500 and I was able to check it out and try it on yesterday. Underwhelmed me to be honest.

But, gold with the blue dial... now that may just do it. I'd have to see and try it on in the flesh though.
