[QUOTE=Parapraxis;12622408]Hey guys,
I don't think I'll play the Patek game. I think one Patek in the collection is enough for me, and I think it will be a nautilus. So I'll have to go secondary market. In this case, which reference would you recommend?" Since you don't really know what you want but think it's a must have, when you get your money right just get whatever one is the most popular on Instagram that week. |

5740 - grail Nautilus - perhaps best blue dial.

Forget Nautilus, Patek… this is one of my favourite references by any manufacturer full stop! The assymetric layout, blue dial, power reserve, slim profile, gold micro rotor all wrapped up in that case is just wow.

3710: super-rare bird that you will never see anywhere on anyone. Extremely thin, too

Why do people specify blue dial when they mention 5980 steel?

Yes, why the strong preference for blue over dark grey/black and over white?

Got it, is it right that the black and more so the white are rarer for specific models? (But people don't consider this and it doesn't reflect in demand and price?)
