Does anyone know whether the new 30-01 intended as a replacement for the 030? It appears to have many similarities.
Edit: Actually, Hodinkee says it is. Nice update.

Correct, it is the new version, note it is a few MM thicker now which for me is a no go, the original 030 was already pushing it on my wrist.

After a couple years of back and forth on getting into the RM world, I’ve finally scratched the itch. Found a beautiful condition 011 Americas edition. Very happy I decided to take the plunge…

Congrats, looks great on you! Great to see you pulled the trigger after our conversation. What are your thoughts? Did you find the case thickness just right? Time to get into the dangerous world of RM straps!

Appreciate it, thank you very much! My thoughts are… It’s way better than I thought it would be. I was worried about the thickness/size, but I’ve worn the deep-sea many times, and I’ve worn 44 mm offshores many times. I knew I wanted it to be on the bigger side versus the smaller offerings, that’s just my personal taste. So I went between this and the 030, but I just couldn’t like the 030’s dial as much as the 011. I am super happy with my decision. I’ve ordered I’ve ordered the dark blue strap already. I would say that the only thing I would think of next would be the 11–03.

RM65 would be a nice addition too with the split seconds and pushers on both sides of the case. Will wear similar to your 11, gets addicting after your first one. Congrats again

Addicting for sure! Thanks again for your advice/help. I keep up with the bring a trailer auctions weekly on vintage Mercedes as well! Your pictures and stories about yours always keep me thinking! Right now I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my 71, 911 E, but those Mercedes are so beautiful

That is very kind of you, thank you! For a car with so few moving parts, it is constantly breaking down and overheating. Sure does look great standing still, with its limited HP, I think I can run faster than my 190sl. Would definitely proceed with caution, never could have foreseen the amount of problems I have had with mine. My eyes are glued to the temp gauge EVERY time I take it out and always fingers crossed I am not stuck in traffic in the heat. Take a peak at the 230/280SL, more power and better reliability. Also think a late 60s DB6 MK2 is not only breathtaking but severely undervalued given DB4 and DB5 pricing. Getting me all excited talking cars haha, back to RMs.

Give me a shout if you are ever in LA and we will go for a drive in it or the Diablo. B

Anyone know the current MSRP of the 72-01Ti? Was recently quoted $288k with tax but that seemed too high and wondering if rep mistakenly was quoting the RG.

It was $218k beginning of the year. They had a bump in price middle of the year so it should be around $228k.

Looking for some insight from those of you that have seen or have the 67-02 (or 67-01).

I’m waiting on a 67-02 from my SA at RM. However, I hadn’t had a chance to try one on until today. I’m a bigger guy. 6’2, 280lbs, former football player (lineman) etc. I will get the black but I tried on the green. I gotta say it looked really dainty on me. I have a 7.5 inch wrist or 19cm.

Anybody with similar wrist size have experience with these watches? Considering asking to pivot to 72-01 for my next allocation instead.

Even the 72-01 is a more compact case, for RM at least. Try the new 30 or even a 65 - I think you might like it better. The 67 line is great for small wrists (like mine :) ) - good luck!

Thank you! I don’t mind slimmer but don’t think “delicate” suits me. My current RM is the 65-01 and it fits me perfectly! I have that in the Red Gold/Carbon so want different materials. 30-01 Ti or 72-01 Ti I think is what I’ll aim for and hoping that might position for the dark blue 35-03. Then I’d have each material covered between Ti/RGCA/Ntpt…but was drawn to 67-02 for the Ntpt and open design where you can see balance wheel spinning through the front.

Although as I look - the 72-01 profile looks to be maybe even smaller with the exception of depth than the 67-02. I’ll have to research that some more.

Appreciate it!

67-02 and 72-01 has similar proportions.
30s are nice but can still run a bit small.

35-03 would definitely be good. Do you like any of the round ones?
