This is just heart-breaking, and so senseless. I am at a loss for words.

I continue to pray for your health, JJ.....and for days free from pain and filled with peace.

Karis: it is heart-breaking. JJ is such a light hearted spirit. I've spoken with him on two occasions on Skype and he's just got lots of interesting things to say. He just adores his family, and it's clear from the many pictures they adore him. It's just very painful. We all feel like we've met him in person, although only a few on this forum actually have. It's a testament to the man, that we all feel so close to him. I'm hoping that he will not suffer, and that the pain management docs are able to get him to a comfort point. Beyond that, well, it's beyond our human powers......

I fondly recall the two Skype calls I had with JJ as well. He had me laughing. You're right when you say that so many of us feel as though we HAVE met him.

Thanks for your updates, Eddie. Truly appreciated by all.
The web, TRF, and JJ have made the world a much smaller place. Amazing how many friends in that small world.

Just spoke to JJ.

He was a little brighter today as they have sorted out some of the pain he was having.

But, he went to the bathroom during the night and fell over - smacked a table on the way down and was carted off to x-ray for a check up - nothing broken just a few bruised ribs in his lower back.
Silly old bugger. He laughed when he told me because he said it took his mind off his immediate problems.
I told him that we were all pulling for him but he had to meet us half way.

I told him that Paul had sent him a package to his home address with cards etc from his friends here and that they had not been able to deliver it. Zemina will leave a message for UPS and we will see if can sort the delivery out.

His sister is arriving from Bombay tomorrow afternoon and will be staying for 3 months. This will be great for JJ, Zemina and the family.

The specialist is talking to JJ this afternoon about inserting a by pass to reduce the fluid build up. I am sure that you can google this if you want to know the procedure as explained to me. The doctors on the Forum will know of the operation (and the possible side effects) and will also be able to access the situation. It would seem that there is no major operation planned.

JJ send his love to all.

Eddie

Eddie, mate, THANK YOU for keeping us abreast of the situation.

I think JJ can beat it. Call me whatever you want, but meeting us halfway is something JJ can do.

Thanks for that update Eddie. It's good to hear that JJ is staying positive and that he can still laugh. I'm sure it will be a big relief for all of them to have his sister there to help out the family and visit with her brother. I hope they really enjoy their time together. My best wishes to you JJ and your wonderful family.

I have written and erased a dozen posts trying to put into words my profound sadness.

In the end, all I can write is to say Thank you JJ for the all too brief time I knew you. Your passion, love and humor made this forum a better place and will be sorely missed.

My prayers to you as well as your family.

God Bless..

I have just spoken to Zemina and she has received the parcel from Paul.

JJ will have it tomorrow.
The cards etc together with his sister arriving will make his day.

Thanks to Paul who arranged this and to all who had time to participate.
