So much love for the 5711 and the magical blue dial, so good luck with your decision!
That is a good looking 5296. My AD has a G that he will sell me at 23% off retail. Either that or I will get a 5227.

If you can get the same discount on the 5227 it's a no-brainer. But that's a great price on the 5296.

It does look on that strap, and definitely makes it that bit more casual.

I've actually got my name on the list for a 5711 but I haven't tried the blue yet (only the white) so we'll see when it comes, which is around about Dec!

He will do a 23% on a 5227 but it's taking forever to get one in.

I tried on a few patek models yesterday and I've ruled out the 5196g, just too slim and not versatile enough for me. I loved the 5396g but I would only get that if I traded in one of my current Pateks and I don't want to do that.

I think I've got it down to the 5296g or 5711. As much as I used to like the sector dial 5296 I'm not as keen as I was so I think it will be the original dial. I had always ruled out the 5711 as I have the 5167 and I don't want something so similar however I do like the fact that it can be dressed up or down.
Thoughts and opinions please.
Looks good as it is !

You already have an AC, don't want Chrono, don't want rose gold and perpetual is out of budget. I guess you have little options left, I would say either a 5712/1a, 5726 or the AP 15202. I would say no to your Calatrava options.

I went for the 5711, you're right the Calatrava would have been the wrong decision.

Congrats! You made the right choice...such a beautiful watch.
I read this whole thread and you should feel accomplished for taking a good amount of time to research before pulling the trigger.
Enjoy it in good health!
