I can't stand having a watch where the bezel can scratch, ala Daytona and YM1. i love them both, but for a daily wearer, I'd go BLNR. I recently got some wrist time with it, and it's gorgeous and has no flaws at all.

i just picked up a BLNR (after having an LN for a few years) and could easily see that being a daily, primary wearer if i wanted to do that. |

Daytona is a timeless classic. It's 15 years old and still 3k more expensive than the "hot" beans new BLNR.

It's interesting how many people have had both at some point. I have the BLNR but always dreamed of Daytona.
No regrets on the BLNR though. |

For those of you who own the BLNR, is the Blue more Blue or Purple?
Thanks. |

I have both albeit my Daytona is white. I would take the BLNR hands down. It's the one watch that I cannot do without. It's got everything you need, date, dual time, high water resistance, great resale value, and works well with jeans or a suit. Although the last three points work with a Daytona as well.

From my own humble opinion,
For a short term experience, go for BLNR and enjoy for a yr or two then flip for Daytona. For a long term/ keeper, buy the Daytona and save money to purchase your next watch. |

The BLNR is the best modern SS Rolex model, IMHO. Daytona has some legibility issue in its busy sub-dials; and the watch with no date function is a deal breaker for me now because I have already had Omega SMP 3073 (with no date) at hand for a few years. If I want one more chronograph, I would save money to buy VC, which looks terrific to me.
