Just learned about this (yeah, I know...) and it hit me like a hammer. How immensily sad.
A a non-Rolex owner I don't regard myself as "part of the family", not like most of you guys anyway, and I didn't really know JJ like you did so I hope you understand why I chose to post my condolences here and not in the tribute thread (what a beautiful gesture btw), but after reading through the thousands of posts... wow.

I wish now I had known JJ. What a class guy. But you guys are amazing. The love and respect for a person most of you (us) never knew personally but simply shared a passion with, is touching to a level I don't think I've witnessed ever before. JJ was lucky to have you in his life, and we were all lucky to have him in ours, online or personally.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Irani. And my deepest condolences to the family. I feel your loss.

My condolences to JJ's family and close friends. So sad to hear someone lose the battle to cancer. Its a tough fight but in the end, it seems like the cancer beats you. This happened to my mom 4 yrs ago with her battle w/non smoking adenocarcinoma Stage IV lung cancer. Two year battle and lost.

I am so deeply saddened to hear about this today. Such a shame - So many people this terrible condition cancer grabs a hold of.

Cancer is such a "non-respecter" of people. Just moves in and gets you. I hope I live long enough to see major advances in cancer treatment so people don't have to fight like JJ fought and families physical and virtual are not hit with such terrible news. may the lord bless JJ Irani. He has definitely made me want to be better. I am going to wear the YM in his honor.
