What else do you wear on a weekend when traveling? Off to the Patek Museum in an hour and will post as the day progresses

Have a great time, if you see any 5980r on strap in any of the AD's please let me know. It would be interesting to hear how the availability is in Switzerland.

Thank you! I must be one of the only ones who prefers it on the strap.

I think just you concentrate on keeping that 777 wings flapping!!

Of course we can remove the cufflinks and a 5131 will fit in very nicely!!

There is a resident watchmaker who you can watch work and he was actually testing a repeater for a client collection when I was there. Unlike various negative comments I found the staff absolutely fantastic and definitely without any airs and graces. In fact I felt guilty about taking up so much of the Deputy Head of the Salon who spent close to 2 hours with me. They even followed up a few hours later with a nice email. So I had a great Salon experience. In fact i am going back this evening !

Some of my most memorable trips. I was able to visit many watch manufacturers and independent watchmakers in the early 90s while on the pro cycling circuit.

Sounds like an amazing trip so far. Are you picking up a special piece whilst you're there?

Hahaha Russ I think a good interrogation aswell as confiscating his gorgeous Pateks is in order before boarding I will be visiting the Salon also on this trip so lets see if I get any hints on the 40th. Personally I think it will be a non event & out of reach pieces for us mortals.
