Its Done. I've Flipped my Sea-Dweller
After weighing my options with having Rolex resize my Sea-Dweller I decided to go back into my AD and explain my situation to the owner. I told him the Dweller just did not fit me right--regardless of the addition or removal of links and that the Submariner just fit me better. He said he would be happy to take my Sea-Dweller back and give me the Sub-Date at no cost to me since we bought two watches from him and paid cash and he wants us to be happy with our purchases. I'm going to go in on Thursday and make the swap. Adios 4,000 Foot Club, hello Legend Club.

Hmmmm....I went one stage higher by selecting the one with WG bezel....all the rest being the same - WG Romans on white dial and new Jubilee. The WG bezel made a world of difference over the smooth SS domed one....and in price too!!
What a beauty!! Don (sub2004) was there at the time.....but I'll wait until my job thing is sorted out....which, of course, will be after this training course. Cheers - JJ

The Sea-Dweller is interesting.I have large wrists and wear the bracelet at the max length. It actually wears better than my Blue TT Sub.I guess, you have to wear it,to know if it suits you.The problem is that you will only know that, after some time.In other words, after you bought it.Personally I like the weight of both the Blue TT Sub and the Dweller. They weigh the same. The ss Sub,weighs less.
I guess the Dweller is designed for men of substance ... :-) |

100% go for the SD
I will take the SD instead of the Sub date.
SD is the only Rolex with the engrave in the back case and I like the weight better than others. SD is my daily watch I love it. Surprise the AD will exchange it. Will they sell it as used watch in their showcase? |

How long did you 'use' it for before trading? Is the SD generally more expensive than the SUB?

Although SD is 200 bucks more in MSRP than sub date but usually sub date sells for more I think as less discounts are available for Sub date.
So, if this case is true, then getting a sub date for a used SD is a real great deal. And above all what matter is, not money or the best deal but, the best watch which is going to remain for a pretty long time with you, so it should be up to the level of satisfaction and if chris_nor_cal is more satisfied with sub date and he's getting it at no loss of mistake purchasing the SD, thts the best think for sure.
