Bark finish

Can't seem to find anything in the search area, but can anyone tell me if Rolex ever produced a factory President's bark finish center link band?
Can't seem to get a clear answer.

Thanks

It also came with a bark finish bezel and a choice of wood dials.

I like em a lot, but it's just kinda strange when I see bark finish cuz I wonder about the guy who wanted his watch to look like a tree, and made it happen.

Greekbum - I own the exact same watch. When did you buy yours? I bought mine in April of 1992. Continues to turn heads as both a Rolex and a unique Rolex. Had it serviced three times and keeps very accurate time.

Attached is a photo of mine as well. You stated that 2500 of these exact watches exist - over what period of years were they manufactured?

They also did for the Datejust.

I found one in Riad, Saudi Arabia in 1996 and almost bought it because I fell in love and fitted my wrist perfectly. It was a 18 k mid size Datejust with president bracelet, bark finished in the center links and the bezel. It was wonderful and at the price I had paid 2 years earlier for my current GMT in Greece.

Expecting a baby then, kept me back from spending the money, a stupid thought as I could sell the GMT when I was back home. I always regret that moment of conservatism but back then owing a gold watch or keeping both was out of my way of thinking

Bought one for my wife in 1990. Went to the local AD to have the band adjusted and they said it was a fake because they had never seen a bark finish. I think it really looks nice on a woman's watch. She has a papyrus face and it still looks nice to this day.

I just saw a mens DD with the bark finish in the used section at tourneau. They want, or asking 13,000. Watch is in very good condition, black onyx dial with no sticks. The bark finish is only in the center link and bezel, while the case is smooth. Does anyone know what this watch is worth?
