The 5170G is my choice. I purchased one last week. Great in house movement. Perfect size for my 6 5/8 wrist. It is wearable art at its finest. I have not read much of this thread nor the first post but your question is a common one. Good luck and please post pics when you get your. I should be getting mine in a few months.

Insults, trolls and other things, this is a civilized forum, sure sometimes we can have heated arguments, there are affinities and the contrary, but we try to always keep it civilized, no need of members making posts just in the goal of creating a riot, insulting others and all.
If you are a normal well behaved person there is no reason for which you will get banned, don't worry...

Okay. Good. Thanks. I don't understand why people judge others and criticize. The beauty of these forums is exactly that. I like reading people's different perspectives on watches. I learn a lot.

Actually a forum member made some very good comments about my thought process on my next watch. It actually caused me change my mind and make the right decision. This is a great forum. The collective knowledge and wisdom of its members is staggering.

Yeah but that's not what the op did. He was rude and combative. Buh bye!

Also made into a very good movie by the way.
The Harrison models can be viewed free of charge in the museum at the greenwich observatory. The first three were huge.
The French, in their quest to keep pace with the Brits, had delegated that task to Breguet, to dsogn their marine chronometers.

Well stated, and I agree with the recommendation.

Get yourself a 5170G white dial and you're done. The doctors chronograph. You'll want to buy preowned to get the best price.
