Before/After Pictures after LAWW Case Refinish
Hi everyone,
I'm considering sending my 5513 to LAWW to refinish its case. (My 5513 was already overpolished when I bought it.) Specifically, I'm interested in LAWW's vintage refinish service. Has anyone tried this service on their Sub? I wonder how big the difference is before and after this service. If you have before and after pictures of this service, I would appreciate it if you could post these here. Many thanks in advance. |

I figured this post would be more fun, if I post pictures of my 5513.
I think the lugs can use vintage refinish to get their bevels back: |

This is a restoration done by ABC Watchwerks, but it is before they split into ABC and LAWW. The guys doing the restorations at LAWW worked at ABC at the time........BTW, this is BY FAR my prized possession......even above my 116619 WG Sub
BEFORE AFTER (Sides left unpolished by my request)

There is plenty of debate about whether to re-cut lugs and/or polish the entire case on these vintage Subs ..... but if you are going to do it, the guys at LAWW and ABC do it the best, IMHO. I've used them on watches before and after their split and I'm always impressed. Good luck!

Jason, what lead to your decision to leave the sides untouched? Just curious, especially since you had the chambers were redone. Lovely watch, regardless! |

If I had to do it over again, I would absolutely do things EXACTLY the way that they were done. I couldn't be happier with how this one turned-out. Like I said.......my Pride and Joy

Jason, that thing is drop dead SEXY!
You totally did the right thing under the circumstances. I admire your restraint to not make it "new" again. Every scratch tells a story... |

those as-is case sides are pretty nice: I'm always having them brushed to get rid of the shiny.
