Time Care Inc. (Rik) - 10/2014 Review
Some members might have already seen my thread about my Sub arriving back home today, for those of you that haven't:
HERE IS THE LINK First, I do not have any affiliation whatsoever with Rik ("Rikki" here on TRF) or Time Care, Inc. -- I'm just a 110% completely satisfied customer. I couldn't summarize Time Care any better than Sublover2166 (thanks John): Quote:
When it came time to have my sub worked on, I knew Rik was the man for the job. He received the watch via USPS registered mail on 9/6/14. The watch needed some decent TLC to one of the lugs and a complete overhaul. I received the watch today...approximately 4 weeks later. A great turn-around IMHO. After initially receiving the watch, Rik gave me a call to let me know it arrived safe and sound and to summarize the anticipated work and cost. Rik remains completely accessible by telephone during the entire process and is happy to answer any and all questions regarding your watch/repair. This a service the RSC cannot even come close to offering. I couldn't be any happier. The watch looks great. As you could see, the lug needed some real work: After the service: Just wanted to share this review as a future resource for someone who might be considering Rik. TIME CARE INC WEBSITE

Rik is very good, I'm lucky to have him local. He is restoring a 1680 Red for me right now.

Looks great! Did he laser weld to build up lug material before refinishing, or did he have to grind down the lugs to cover up the ding and the others to match?

I just got my 36 year old 5513 back from Rik today. Incredible. It looks like it did in 1978 when I bought it. Rik is the best.
