10:10 >>>>>>

What are you WIS doing with your AP at 10:10?

I was with my daughter in the ICU 2 days ago when she was treated for her first attack of breathlessness. It was such a nerve-wrecking experience when your loved one was suffering from such emergency. When she was on her first nebulizer, I decided to record the moment and that was when I noticed my AP-clad arm was holding her for support & encouragement.

It was nearing 10:10am...

10:10 resembles a "V" sign which signifies victory! And million thanks to the team of doctors and nurses, my girl was recovering very well and was discharged from hospital yesterday.

Just a day before the incident, I was meeting Ben (aka benlee) for lunch and we talked about how short and fragile life is. Hence when all necessities in life like housing, insurance, sustainable investment, etc have been catered for, it is always a good idea to splurge on hobbies, travelling, etc, during our prime years when we have the means and stamina to enjoy the best part of our short life. My daughter's encounter had just affirmed my thoughts and I wouldn't hold back to dote on her (responsibly) just to thank her for regaining her health quickly and continue to bring joy in my life.

Ah... On the same note, hope that my watch collection will grow too

A shot taken when we were shopping for toys with my girl right after her discharge from hospital

So, what are you guys doing at 10:10?

What a scary story, Wayne, and I'm glad to hear your daughter is recovering well. I totally understand where you're coming from. When my daughter was first born, she aspirated meconium, glued her lungs and stayed in the NICU for the first two weeks of her life. Safe to say, she recovered quickly and at almost 3 yrs old, she's just a ball of energy. Don't take anything for granted for sure.

All the best to you and MORE APs!

Oo I'm glad ur daughter is ok.
"What r you doing at 10:10" this question reminds me of the movie "wanted", "what have you done lately?"
I was at work probably on the phone while my AP is in service, got it back this afternoon finally after a month!!

Glad your daughter is ok, it is terrible when a child is taken to hospital, the daily worries of life just disappear and all you want to do is switch places with them.

Exactly, Jim! It pains me to see her little hand pierced through by the needle. I really wished it was me then... Thanks a lot!

Glad to hear she's bad in good form Wayne. I too have a daughter around the same age. In fact my three year old son had some breathing problems when we were visiting in the UK. Man was that a scary situation. We spent the night in hospital as his oxygen levels were low. Thankfully everything turned out fine.

Thanks Sandro! Now I can fully appreciate the kind of worry as a parent. Thankfully your kid is fine now! Take care too!

Hal, really appreciate your PM and the well wishes. She's back to her adorable and mischievous self now, and suddenly I don't find her naughtiness that annoying anymore... Hahaha
