Accidents happen. It's how they are corrected that makes the difference. It should have never been returned to you with that scratch but in the end they did the right thing. Lot of companies would have done nothing and said in so many words, too bad. Glad there was a positive outcome.

I had RSC Dallas leave me these presents on my Sub's crystal and numerous other marks on the case and bracelet. I was so mad and appalled after paying $600 or whatever for a service. Ended up speaking with the head of RSC Dallas while trying to get this resolved and got to ask if they had Stevie Wonder doing their quality control checks...

Wow! I thought of sending my BLNR to get a polish and new crystal, but maybe I should take it to an independent watch maker that takes more pride in their work. Just appalling to see an official repair center return your watch in worse condition than when you sent it to them.

Seek punitive damages. Or better yet put you on top of the list of any Rolex model you desire in the future.

How can they do that, Rolex don't sell watches directly to the end consumer, its all through an authorised dealer network?

Good they swapped it out - hard to tell from the photo, but is that laser etched rather than hand engraved ?

I am glad they got you a new case back. Still with all the horror stories will definitely go with an independent when the time comes.

You can't beat a sense of humour at the moment. I could try and pretend that the Birkenstocks look great but I really can't

Sorry to hear that.  I hope they make it right for you.

I had a pretty horrible experience with servicing my Tudor Range a few years back. Sent it in because one of the hands came loose. They sent it back with a Black Bay crown. Yes, you read that correctly, a Black Bay crown. Not sure how they made that mistake as they are DRASTICALLY different and the BB crown looks ridiculous on the Ranger. After weeks of sending images and arguing with them on the phone, they agreed to "fix" it but I had to foot the bill for shipping it back to Tudor. I'd be hesitant to buy another Tudor based on my experience.

This sucks, happend to me at rsc before also. Mine was white gold Pepsi. Just hurts, and you can't help but feel like they don't care about your watch.

F RSC you got a better shot at letting the kid at the watch kiosk at the mall work on your watch.

Just my opinion, but I would have resolved the matter with the RSC before posting my gripe. And, I’ve had nothing but great experiences with three different RSC’s.

That is gross negligence by the RSC. Totally unacceptable.

I don't know how they stuffed it up so spectacularly.

OP, glad you got it resolved and with the correct solution.

I like your Birks and think they go nicely with your watch.
