All thought are appreciated. I have worn this watch for 19 years, a gift from my wife. But even she said if I could get a new one to go for it, ??
If this watch has emotional value, you can't put a cost on it. If the insurance pays for the repair, I would recommend doing it, if the watch means a lot to you.
Be advised; you will have a new serial number.

They did say this was optional but highly recomended. The old one is very worn and did receive damage.

2850 for a new case, crazy.....she paid 2780 for the watch back in 95. I am sending my reply today to go ahead and do it all. Sounds like all new parts except the guts.

Reminds me of the old saw, "See this ax? It's been in my family for 200 years. The head's been replace twice and the handle three times, but it's a real heirloom"...

This one was not a hog. 83 V45 Sabre, had it since college, my wife and I dated on it and I took it to Daytona over spring break my senior year. Not to bad actually.
