I hate to say it ..

Dinning options, relative to how close everything is in Las Vegas is really hard to beat. Hotels and restaurants are first class, all AD's are all within a mile and the weather 90% of the time is perfect in March and April. I can't really think of a place that has it all in a short walk.. You want a beach you can go to Mandalay Bay.

Overall the value is unbeatable, easy flights in and out, just work out a date where no gigantic convention is happening at the same time. Of course Gerardo knows all this. Yeah, I'd like a more tropical resort vacation but most can do this anytime.

April, 22-27, 2017 no go. 100K attendees NAB show, that's all I see at a quick glance for April. Prices skyrocket for that.

Nothing over 50k for March

...not because I'm here in Vegas(actually I'm in Calif more than Vegas anyways).. but for me personally, I really don't want to be on a beach in paradise with 30 TRF guys

No offense, but these GTGs are "sword fights", and I don't want to see any of you in swimwear!

Vegas has "it all", so let's make it an "annual" and plan the dates early, so we can all book and plan work schedules, and start a TRF tradition...

There are certainly many options (if there is a Jazz and 80's cruise, why not a TRF one!) but we have to keep in mind the main idea: 'To host a fun event for watch aficionados where the most can attend and everyone can meet fellow TRF members in a safe environment' considering a venue with:

-Easy access (air and road)
-Variety of accommodations for various budgets, having them as close as possible to each other
-Local presence of AD's

And, if possible, within walking distance to avoid multiple rides/taxis/Ubers

There are a lot of cities that have most of these options, but few all of them. As you know, I have always started the GTG's with a 'where' poll, and so far Vegas has been the city of choice.

Once again, this is for you, TRF family!
