Bracelet for Aquanaut - Comments?
Hi folks,
I'm considering ordering the stainless bracelet for my 5167. Would appreciate any feedback, especially from those who have the bracelet. Pics are certainly encouraged as well, of course! Is the bracelet sturdy? How does it feel (light/heavy)? Is it comfortable? How is the clasp? Is it prone to stretch? How does it look in person? Thanks all, and have a great weekend! |

Personally, I think the bracelet is overdone. Too bulky. Too heavy. Should be tapered. Just my opinion of course.
Strangely, I LOOOOOVE the 5167 on strap but the the bracelet version does nothing for me. |

I would agree that the bracelet is a bit bulky for the watch and a taper would help. Having said that it is comfortable and the clasp is nicely done. Funny enough I am ordering the strap and clasp from HS.

I don't like it on the Bracelet, something feels and looks off.
But on Rubber looks like a icon. |

I have the bracelet version. Id say it is very comfortable - curving around the wrist wonderfully. the clasp is sturdy with the cool symbol at the closure. I thought it would feel too dainty but it feels robust. it is very shiny.
ive got mine listed as the rubber / deployant didn't work for me (don't flame, it dug in) I have others - refined on bracelet - so its got to go. I agree looks like an icon on rubber and is very undercover that way. less undercover with shiny bracelet. If you don't have RO or 5711 then I'd be fine with this as my refined bracelet watch as the dial is tough to beat |

I have a 5066. Does anyone know where can I get a bracelet for it?

Have yet to see one in the flesh to try on...based on photos, I prefer the rubber strap.

The bracelet for the 5167 can only be interchanged on 5167's after a certain year, which were originally fitted on a rubber strap.

Thanks all. I was quoted $3635 to order a new bracelet. I wouldn't mind trying one, but at that price, it would have to be one hell of a bracelet. In fact, I dare say there is no such bracelet to justify that price.
Anyway, going off topic, is anyone else excited about the new JLC Geophysic series? |

Not a fan on 5167.
5164 has a bit more presence and visually holds up to the bracelet better imho

Prefer the strap, no taper on the bracelet.

I think aquanaut look nice in rubber or bracelet. You seldom see the bracelet version as most people prefer the tropical rubber. If you want something not that common, 5167 1A may be good choice.
Keep us posted what you get. |

I think the rubber strap integrates better aesthetically with the dial. More harmonious appearance and as others have mentioned it must be more comfortable. It's a relatively thin watch and better suited for the rubber strap than the bracelet in my opinion.

Bracelet completely changes the personality of the Aquanaut.
Adding one after the fact is too expensive. I like it better on the strap. |

I much prefer the strap. Doesn't look right on the bracelet for me.

I had the chance to choose from both versions and I thought bracelet one would be easier to switch to rubber when needed.
My impression with rubber version was not the strongest -- although very comfortable, it's too low profile -- well, initial impression as I said, that might change The bracelet version looks another watch...and I liked it. I'd recommend a half link for bracelet if possible -- it would give it extra comfort. best |
