Yes if it’s the 330 caliber movement introduced the past few years. Older ones do not.

Not sure on the 5167a, but if you move the hands backwards on a 5164 the seconds stop, then will resume after the crown is pushed in. You can kinda hack it yourself.

My AD got traumatized when I showed them this "trick", they insisted I stop as the movement could get damaged. 😅

I bought my 5167a from AD in August of ‘21. It has new clasp but old non-hacking movement, so my guess is the new movement was 2022 release.

Have spoken to the Patek AD watch maker and another watchmaker and can confirm there is no damage caused by putting a bit of “back pressure” on the crown to hold the second hand in place.

The hacking seconds on the newer movement is handy but the new clasp is not as nice or comfy as the old one.

My experience with the old clasp was it seriously inferior to the watch.

Yes, I purchased the new clasp for my older 5167 but found the center section to be uncomfortable on my wrist, but this may be a personal question. Fortunately, I kept the old clasp, installed it and sold the new one.

A little off questions.
My 5726a is changing month on the 15th of each month and NOT on 31st. Everything else works great. Does it need a service ? its 2017 production. |
