Sold Rolex Sub, looking for MoonWatch now
I've just recently sold my Sub LV and I can't help myself looking at the Moonwatch (the hesalite)
Am I going thru mid life crisis? I'm supposed to be wearing Rolex Anyone successfully size themselves on the new screwed bracelets? I plan to size it myself and seeking for advice and guidance |

I did, it was not difficult. I use a small screwdiver, the one usually used for glasses. I covered/taped the part of the link next to the screw hole with paper tape, so I wouldn’t accidentally scratch it.
I didn’t cover the inside of the lug with tape when I removed the springbars. Even though Inused the springbar remover, the inside of the lugs have some scrathes now |

You can soften the thread locker with some heat prior to unscrewing the bracelet. I think Omega make the most comfortable bracelets!

Yes. I own jeweler/watch tools just for for working on my watches. Make sure you have plenty of light, a nice size area to work ( the screws are tiny and you don't want to drop them on the floor),take your time and I use a magnifier head set. Also use the right size screwdrivers. It is easy to bugger up the screw face or bracelet if you use the wrong size screwdriver. geebob mentioned using tape just in case you slip and this is also a good idea.

I did not apply anything and it’s been fine so far, it’s been about 5 months or so. I guess it won’t hurt, as long as it’s not red loctite but personally I won’t even use blue loctite. Nail polish sounds like a good idea, it can be easily removed with accetone.

It can be done but is very frustrating for me with the screw and pin system Omega uses. I would take it to a trustworthy watch shop or person and get it done. I have always had an issue with the bracelet fit on the Omega Speedmaster so I did some research and on my current Speedmaster, 44.25 mm model I sourced a adjustable clasp from the Omega Boutique. The clasp, and two links for the attachment were lass than $250 including shipping. Works perfectly and is similar to the Glidelock system of Rolex. There are several threads with the specifics on TRF. Check them out.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I watched some YouTube on sizing the new screw type Omega bracelet, not as easy as I would imagine but I still prefer to size it myself as it just part of the enjoyment lol

CKL, I'm a long-time Rolex wearer. I primarily wear a 114060 and a 42mm Explorer II. A couple of weeks ago, I bought a new hesalite Speedmaster from Takuya (highly recommended). I always had an eye on one of these, but never jumped. I love this watch. As mentioned in an earlier post, the Seamaster adjustable clasp is the way to go. I ordered one last week from my local Omega Boutique. Get one and don't look back. It may be the smartest watch purchase I've ever made.

It is such a pain sizing it myself but nonetheless managed to remove 2 links and now officially an Omega owner
