Can I get some advice?

I have been looking into a new mid ss/plat yachtmaster. But for the same cost I can put my hands on an older solid gold day/date pres. I know the 2 are drastically different but can anyone steer me one way or another?

Thanks

Two watches with a very strong personality,it's really up to you for that. Myself I would look more into the tool-friendly YM.

Having had the Platty, I would take the DD.

Not much to choose both movements are basically the same cal 3135 with the DD just the added daydate complication. So one could be classed as a sports type watch the other a dress type watch but with more precious metal and thats it.

Do the YM if you're a more casual than dressy guy, IMO.

The DD is more flashy but it is one Rolex's icons. So my pick would be the DD.

The YM without a doubt. It looks great with suit/tie but even better with shorts and a t-shirt You get the best of both worlds IMO
