Thank you all so very much for all your info about the connection between Rolex & Comex over the years! I would have liked to thank you all sooner but my account had been un accessible to me because of a problem with my email. Happy New years to you and yours!
Cheers |

I seem to remember one of these from years ago that had Comex INSTEAD of Rolex...the guy said they would report theirs as lost every so often to get new ones.
Just can't remember the dial....ring any bells anyone? |

Haywood- I searched and found this thread looking for info on the 16610 comex models. What I found was the link to that amazing story, which I read and thoroughly enjoyed.
But back to the initial reason for my search: do you have, or can you point me to, good information on the 16610 Comex subs? Thanks again for the story, and in advance for the link/info. |

While buying a recent watch I was passed a 1665 Comex to try on, It had a beautiful faded bezel that was almost light metallic blue, all matching lume, looked unpolished and I believe matching provenance..
Truly beautiful watch and I didn't realise the value until I had a look around sales once home, out of my league but still a nice experience to handle one. |

Values can feel like a rising tide covering all our heads at the moment...but we can still appreciate them!
I generally find that the story and condition of each Comex makes it unique, even where on paper they should be "the same." Consider my two 1665s, which have very close Rolex case numbers and Comex numbers: The watches are from the very same consignment, but they have very different histories and provenance with their issued owners, and look at their dials! They are the correct, original 600m (not 610m) version that was unique to Comex. One has rested in a safe for recent years while the other was worn regularly. The difference in patination is striking! Haywood Instagram : haywood_milton_rolex
