I agree.
Also seems to be a watch undecided as to what it wants to be.

Love them, as an aside I notice the scratches on my brushed bracelet explorer much more than on my PCL Milgauss or GMT.

Love PCLs. Gives the watch added definition with varying finishes.

Absolutely hate them I wish the center links on my jubilee bracelet were brushed but at least they are not as shinny as the oyster.

I like the way they look, and I don’t mind the scratching. What drives me crazy is the finger prints and smudges. I spend all day wiping them.

I have to qualify my no answer, on SS bracelets I do NOT care for PCL at all. For TT or solid precious metal bracelets I do like them.

As the OP, it is interesting to see a near 50-50 split. I like them, thought they were not popular.

I have the BLNR and managed to get a friendly AD in Sweden to order a Submariner bracelet for me. He even put it on. Now no PCLs and also glidelock which is great to have in HK.

Not a fan of the brushed only look, PCL's give it that bit of pop

Then that goes back to the question, if PCLs are good for a dress watch then a can a GMT with PCL be worn with a suit?

Before I purchased my GMT I thought I would hate the PCL's and probably get them brushed. After wearing the watch I actually like them. Mine isn't scatched up yet so that may change after a few years of wear.

I just attempted a brush on my GMT II band. I will have to remove the band to complete the brush finish and to finalize the finish. The nice thing is that some fine surface scratches have been removed (or brushed over).

No on Subs and GMT's.

Maybe on DJ's and Daytona's.

Interesting to see the popularity of PCLs here. A few years ago I would have expected them to be slammed in the vote and yet they are (marginally) winning here!
I had a GMTc for 8 years but traded out for a Sub, primarily to lose the PCLs, which were too 'bling' for me

By coincidence all of my Rolex’s have PCLs and I can’t stand them. Would prefer if they were all brushed .

I removed my bracelet from my GMT II and completed the brush finish of my band. Here's the result.

Does this answer your question? It’s a tool watch. Not a fancy, blingy dress watch. PM I can understand and appreciate PCLs. Not on SS.

First thing I will do with a newly acquired Daytona is have the bracelet brushed down by expert jeweler along with top of lugs to match.

Polished is a bit much for me, at least in SS.
Check out my shiny bracelet. It's made of the same stuff as my saucepan!

I do not like them because, and this might sound silly, they pose a security threat.
The PCL's make the watch just that little bit more blingy and it catches your eye. With all the Maroccan gangs here in Amsterdam (but in London also) it is sad to say that you cannot stand out to much and you have to be low key

Depends entirely on the watch.

For example on the Hulk the brushed center links suit that particular watch, as there is a lot going on with that watch, colour and sunburst dial etc.

However on my Submariner 116619LB Smurf I think the PCLs suit that watch perfectly. So
