Lisa, I think I love you. Let me know if you ever come back on the market.

Seriously, thanks for the input.

Rolexes are, for the most part, a guy thing. My wife loves jewelry so much that if I bought her a Rolex I'm sure she'd carry it straight back to the AD and swap it for more jewelry. And if she gave me jewelry, the first thing I would do is march back to the jeweler and swap it for a Rolex.

Hmmm, maybe I should ask for a diamond studded pearl necklace, earrings and matching bracelets for Christmas this year...

That's funny! If I ever do come back on the market, be advised I'll have my 3 girls along, too. That's a lot of Rolexes for graduation presents!

And let me guess....they will be requesting a SS Daytona each

Nothing better than seeing a Daytona strapped to the wrist of a woman.

Yeah, nevermind. I've got two kids of my own. My wife and I were discussing the Explorer II we're going to get for our son's graduation in a couple of years. My daughter overheard and has let it be known that a Lady Rolex will be just fine with her, too.

I'm just glad we decided to stop at two.

Are women less excited to get a Rolex?

Why, my husband has an Explorer II.... and yeah, well - we had also decided to stop at two kids. But oops, we have three anyway, and our newest was born this past June, 3 months before my 44th birthday. Fertility is supposed to DECLINE as we age, isn't it?

My law partner and his wife also wanted to have two but ended up with four. They were hoping for a boy and girl, got a girl, got a second girl, decided to try one more time, got a third girl, then decided to stop.

Then his wife forgot to bring something, ahem, on vacation, one thing led to another, ahem, he was too into the moment to go to the drugstore, ahem, and they are now the proud parents of four girls and wouldn't have it any other way.

Life happens.

Same here! Good luck with your new baby girl!

As for me... I forget to wear my wedding/engagement/right hand ring all the time... but my Rolex is on my wrist no matter what!
So, no not all women are the same, but generally speaking I totally agree with the fact that men have a bigger intrest in their watch, because it's pretty much their only jewelry! As for my hubby, he doesn't care about his watch, as long as it gives him the time of day! So he doesn't have a real expensive watch at all, and the automatic he does have, I have to set/wind every time he wants to wear it...

I have tried to talk my wife into a Rolex, with little success. She would rather have other jewlry instead. If I got her a Rolex I fear it would be more for me than her.

Question: If I got her a ladies YM SS/Plat to match mine would that be dorky or corny?
