Thought on these 2 straps for the DSOTM?
Well after 2 years of ownership I'm getting board of the nylon strap and tang buckle and would like to spif up the watch a bit. I'm looking at the alligator leather or the black calf. My friend just got the black alligator and swears by it. Which do you think looks better go the 2?
Thanks |

I wore a Hirsch TIGER on mine for a while and then changed it to a Red and Black Nato, I've never worn it with the original. The calf looks the better of the two.

The pic of the alligator makes it look much better as the other pic looks washed out. I'm pretty torn. I like the contrast of the white stitching but the alligator looks classier. I know when I had panerai I always ditched the alligator for a leather. Both beat the nylon strap in my opinion which I've never liked on a watch this nice.

I'm biased with my Grey Side......so definitely the alligator. Looks spectacular with your Dark Side.

Gator... no contest... now that there are official DS straps...I may go that route... but for the last while I've gone with Gator integrated and have loved it!!

They both look good but the gator just kills it perfectly.

Both look awesome, but I prefer the gator. Have you tried a dark brown gator?
Where are you getting the gator strap from? I'm looking for one for my Speedy Pro (when I get it). |

I compared them both in the shop and just not a fan of the scaley lizard skin look on such a high tech watch. I felt the calf looked far better and more suited for the watch in person. The white stitching really works with the white on the tach and dial.
