Happy to make this my 2000th post!

This one shouldn't come as a surprise to some of you who have been following me as of late. With all the praises I've sung for the 5164 since acquiring one last December, it suddenly departed mid-May, and many people had thought I had gone crazy.

Well, that's because there were bigger things coming. After a number of hiccups, delivery delays, and the such, the beast has arrived!









I am speechless and positively giddy. That dial is simply gorgeous in the flesh with many shades of grey (50 or more? ), and it has the right balance of presence, complication and heft for a sports watch.

I haven't quite yet had the chance to have it sized down, so it's not officially on the wrist quite yet, but I'll provide better pictures once that's taken care of.

I have to thank a very generous and kind TRF member who helped me secure this piece from his AD. It's incomings and moments like these which make me truly proud to be a member of the community and really signifies how it's not all about profiteering and price speculation.

I also have to thank some of you out there (mostly Tyler and Jorge) for all of the enabling and pushing me over the edge to get this piece!
