Had restaurant gumbo yesterday for a cold weather antidote. Was good and best we can get here, but can tell by the picture that yours blows it away.

I do the same when I make chili. It freezes extremely well

4 boxes of stock, 3 cans tomato sauce, a can of rotel, 6 bags of frozen corn, 4 pounds of shrimp, not pictured smoked sausage, chopped onions, bell pepper and celery. Put everything except the shrimp and sausage in a really big pot and simmer with seasoning of your choice.

Cut the sausage up and brown in a pan and then add to the pot, clean the shrimp an add once you have the soup flavored to taste.

This is as popular as gumbo in South Louisiana and much easier to make.

Looks great, Kaya. Closest I get is watching Duck Dynasty the food on that show sure does look good tho, even the deep-fried frog.

That's awesome! Did you like it! I love to cook. Here's an easy 10 minute feel good healthy dish.

Gulf of Mexico Redfish caught today. Hoisin sauce, a little soy sauce and a little honey. Mix and glaze. Broil for 6 to 8 minutes while you microwave some steam in the pouch veggies.

Oh yeah it was great - nice to taste how shrimp and corn added the "sweet" to the Rotel-peppery trinity, tomato sausage soup base. Half of the leftovers in the freezer and half in the fridge.

Now that will be hard to copy. I used to have more fresh caught redfish when living in FLA (well before the Prudhomme craze depleted stocks). Here in ATL taint so possible, McGee.
