Rolex AD Service Interesting..
A quick Question has anyone encountered an AD service that refused to service your watch if you didn't replace the hands I was told that if I did not replace the hands on my Daydate then they would refuse the service.

Yes, happens all the time. If your luminous is cracked and falling out, it would undo all the work that was done, so we will require to replace the hands.

Hi Vanessa, do you want to elaborate? I've owned vintage watches that have had the lume plots detach and they just float harmlessly inside the crystal...

If the watch has vintage value, it is preferable to have the lume properly stabilized, then there is no need to replace them. Not many AD's have the staff to do this.

Don't give your watch to an AD or to any vendor for repair. Send it to a RSC.

1991 So not so much vintage now, but the hands will be a little shinier then the dial. But in 20 years when I pass it on to my kid the "purerists will say not original hands.

Thanks for the heads up. I just "watched" it too. Very cool. The hands of a surgeon and the vision of a marksman!
