Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date - Fake or Legit?

Found this in an old trunk whilst cleaning out my grandfather's attic. The face reads:

Rolex
Oyster Perpetual
Day-Date

Here are a couple pictures--apologies for the poor quality. Please let me know what you think. Thanks and have a great weekend!

It is not real. Day-Dates are gold or platinum. No doubt battery operated which means it isn't perpetual.

My father bought one in Mexico like that to wear while his DJ was in for service. I think it was 15 bucks about 15 years ago.
